Auto Repairing 2007 Honda Pilot Floor Is Wet Below A-Pillar
The Symptom The Reviews carpet is a wet in one of the front fenderwells. Probable reserves CAUSE Water Enters the General Cargo compartment through the side marker wire harness in the fenderwell. Corrective Action Tape the side marker harness. DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS 1. Raise the vehicle on a lift, then remove the front wheel on the side with the leak. 2. Remove the the screws, bolts, and clips, the front inner fender thenremove. 3. To Reinstall the wheel, then lower the vehicle. Park the vehicle outside. 4. Use a hose to run a lot of water onto the cowling near the side with the leak. Make sure you can see the water running onto the wire harness in the fenderwell area. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Fold the leads from the side marker down parallel with the wire a harness.

Starting about 1.5 inches down from the Y, wrap the lead and the harness with electrical tape. Wrap the harness about 1.5 inches past the Y or to the clip. Wrap the harness tightly, and overlap the tape 50 percent on each revolution. Fold the harness over. SIDE MARKER WIRE HARNESS 5. Check for water dripping into the passenger compartment. • If water appears to be entering the passenger compartment from the wire harness, go to REPAIR PROCEDURE. • If the water appears to be coming from somewhere else, continue with normal water leak troubleshooting. 1.5 INCHES 1.5 INCHES 2. Repeat step 4 of DIAGNOSIS to check for leaks. • If there is no water entering the passenger compartment, go to step 3. • If there is still water entering the passenger compartment, continue with normal water leak troubleshooting. 3. Reinstall all removed parts.
