Some customers may complain of an uneven gap between the front skid plate and front bumper fascia. An adjustment kit is now available to establish an even gap between the skid plate and front bumper fascia. If the gap between the right and left side of the skid plate and front bumper fascia is less than 3 mm (0.12 in.), then no adjustment is required. The following procedure should be used ONLY if you are unable to obtain a gap of less than 3 mm from the skid plate adjustment during installation. Repair Procedure 1. Measure and record the gap of the skid plate to the bumper fascia. Gap Between Skid Plate and Bumper 2. Remove the skid plate outer mounting hardware (6 places) and remove the skid plate from the vehicle as shown below.

mounting hardware on the side with the smallest gap. Discard the bolt.
4. Using the table below as a guide, insert washer shims between the
bracket top face and the vehicle mount face, as shown in the
