This test is used to diagnose : Fuel Pressure Fuel Supply Line Fuel Filter Fuel Injector ( s ) Fuel Pressure Regulator Fuel Injection Supply Manifold ( Fuel Rail ) Rail Fuel Switch Solenoid Valve ( s ) NOTE : Fuel rail solenoid valve cover is also referred to as the low pressure valve solenoid cover . The fuel tank solenoid valve cover is also referred to as the fuel tank solenoid valve.WARNING : Always refer to the safety procedures to reduce the likelihood of injury . See FUEL SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . 1 ) Check System Integrity round ignition switch to the ON position for 5 seconds . Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position .

Make sure the following conditions are met : Fuel Filter Element Is Okay Inertia Fuel Switch ( IFS ) Is Set Battery Is Fully Charged Fuel System Repair Fuse Is Okay concerns as needed . If the vehicle exhibits poor fuel economy , do the procedure FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE SYSTEM FUEL down in the REMOVAL proper ventilation & INSTALLATION article . For symptoms of fuel odor , go to step 16 ) . For all other symptoms , go to the next step . 2 ) Check the Fuel Tank Pressure rounds ignition switch to the OFF position . Install Ventilation Equipment and Filler Neck Fuel Gauge Fuel Pressure Delivery System of Special Tool Kit ( 134-00114 ) connector to vehicle refueling . Open the by-pass valve , which is located in the fill valve . See FUEL TANK ventilation procedures under compressed NATURAL GAS SYSTEM FUEL PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEM RELEASE bottom vents in the right REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article .
