Auto Repair 1999–2002 Toyota Sienna Power Sliding Door Diagnostic Procedure
download
Introduction If the Sienna power sliding door becomes inoperative, intermittently inoperative, does not close properly, or returns to the open position while being closed using the power switch or remote control, follow the diagnostic procedure outlined in this bulletin. Since the 2000 – 2002 model year Repair Manuals contain additional diagnostic and repair procedures (compared to the 1999 Repair Manual) it is recommended that only the 2000 – 2002 model year Repair Manual be consulted when making repairs to the Power Sliding Door Assembly(s). Additionally, if the powered operation of the door becomes inoperative, the door may be manually operated only if the main power switch (located on the left side of the steering column) is switched “OFF.” THE POWER DRIVE ASSEMBLY MAY BE DAMAGED INTERNALLY if manual door operation is attempted when the main power switch is in the “ON” position.
