Production changes to the Expansion Valve and Liquid Tube have been made to prevent A/C noise caused by internal vibration of the Expansion Valve. Noise is transmitted through the refrigerant to the Liquid Tube and is generated after the compressor initially cycles “ON”. Repair Procedure S Replace both the Liquid Tube and Expansion Valve on vehicles built prior to VIN JT3HT05J*X0024152 . S Replace Expansion Valve only on vehicles built between VINs JT3HT05J*X0024152 and JT3HT05J*X0034757 .
